A tale from the Vietnam Veterans Club.
Everyday is not so tough or so he has told us….
With a voice that’s grown husk & a right leg full of ulcers..
Yet still he walks tall,
Through life he soldiers
He was one his son followed suit
The Memories of war fail to fade as the tables flowers do…
He shed many a tear that day
A flag draped over his boy returns
A fallen soldier
Now he is reminiscing all of your flaws
& his own misgivings
Since he locked the door behind you
He denied you
Alone he wishes that all of your calls he had answered
Could they have knocked down all the walls
Time built between them
Sips of whisky to the full moons fall
End of transmission
from Shooting Fridges.
